12-year-old, Emmanuel Amidu, a student of Simple Faith Schools, Agbara, Lagos State, dies after he was flogged by his teacher for not doing his assignment.
On Thursday 12th of may, 2022, after Emmanuel was beaten by his teacher, he started vomiting and was rushed to Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Surulere.

Unfortunately he died a little while after he was rushed to the hospital. His father, Akinola, is doubtful of the story that was told to him and is of the opinion that the school management is trying to cover the truth.
Akinola lamented what he alleged is an attempt by the school management to cover up the incident…“I was at home that Thursday because I was on leave. I recall that Emmanuel asked me for money to buy a new exercise book and I gave him N500 to buy the book and give the remaining change to his sister.
