  •  Former Real Madrid and Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo has been Eliminated from the Champions League quarter-finals for the first time in nearly a decade.
  • The Bianconeri’s superstar was left outraged as Ajax stunned the Old Lady.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Co. were stunned by a young Ajax side in Turin. The Old lady was in complete breakdown when Ajax cancel out a brilliant Cristiano Ronaldo’s header and later in the night sealed a 2-1 victory to eliminate Juventus right in the Old Lady Stadium.

The defeat was somehow not a Surprised one as the Amsterdam side already show their quality by defeating Champions League’s Giant Real Madrid in their round of 16 clash, the Netherlands Club was beaten 2-1 at their home stadium by the Spanish club, but that didn’t decrease the teams moral, as they come to Estadio Bernabeu and stunned Real Madrid with a 4-1 defeat and the same happened to Juventus as their 1-1 draw in the Johan Cryuff Arena was nothing to stop the Amsterdam side from thrashing them 2-1 right under their nose.

The defeat however did not show justice to their talisman who scored five goals in his last three matches for the club in the competition, he was the hero in their last feature against Atletico Madrid, scoring a legendary Hat-trick to dump the Spanish club out of the competition, and furthermore opened the scoring twice for the Bianconeri’s against Ajax in both features, only for his team to do nothing to keep both of his goals.

Cristiano Ronaldo outraged after champions league exit

The five (5) times Balon d’Or winner was surely not happy with his team’s performance in both features, he said to his mother after their Champions league exit “I don’t work miracles. The championship, it’s going well. But in the Champions league a bit of luck has been missing but we can’t do anything about it, life goes on. But seriously I would have love to go to the final and I will be there the next one” Her mother told CalcioMarcato.

The Bianconeri’s did not looked convincing to win the Competition right from the start, although they finished top of their group, a loss at home to Manchester United showed signs of lack in organization.

The Turin side looked all but set to head out of the competition in the last 16 after losing 2-0 against Spanish side Atletico Madrid in the first leg. But Cristiano Ronaldo stepped up to save his side when they needed him the most, firing a legendary Hat-trick to make sure Juventus head to the quarter finals.

But even after scoring in either legs, the Italians were still sent out of the competition leaving Cristiano Ronaldo outraged.

Ronaldo scores against Ajax in both legs

The Old Lady will boast of bringing Cristiano Ronaldo with a huge 100 million euros (113 million) to help them lift the trophy but they surely can’t expect the Portuguese to work miracles, as he clearly proves his worth by performing his part not only once.

Cristiano Ronaldo is just a lonely man at the club just as Real Madrid becomes a toothless bulldog without him, the superstar must have gotten a better result had it been he scores his last five goals for Real Madrid.

In Conclusion Juventus needs more than Cristiano Ronaldo to build a team that can win the Champions league, Ronaldo’s expertise brings trophies to a club but not through miracles, a single man cannot score, defend and create chances alone, they need people to assist him in all areas on the pitch.

Juventus Coach Massimilliano Alegri also admitted they need more creative players to play in the Champions League latter stages and not just to rely on Cristiano Ronaldo. He said “Ronaldo has given us a lot over the course of the campaign, but when you reach the quarter-final, you need every player.

“I have always said that to win the Champions League, you need to reach a certain stage in good form and with good fitness levels. We have been in a bit of an Emergency situation for a while and that can only be sustained for so long.

“We were missing four or five players tonight. Daniele Rugani and Leonardo Bonucci had good games for 50 minutes or so, but we lost our unity and organization, giving Ajax the advantage.”

Cristiano Ronaldo and Juventus will have to move on and face their Championship which they have already looked set to win.
