They have booked a lot of Bullshits, Lionel Messi Lamented on Copa Defeat

Lionel Messi and Argentina failed to make it to the Copa America finals for the first time in 12 years.

  • Lionel Messi has stated in a post match interview that the match officials bullsh*ts has distracted them

The Albiceleste has once again faced disappointment as they were thrashed out of Copa America by Fierce rivals Brazil in the semi finals with a disappointed  2-0 defeat.

Argentina have been in constant grief in recent years with their national team, even with stars like Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero, Gonzalo Higuain, Angel Di maria, Paulo Dybala and many more, the Albiceleste has not tested any major trophy for decades, suffering from humiliations year in year out is what the team is known for with three (3) consecutive Final defeats, which include a back to back loss in the Copa America final by Chile and a moral killing 1-0 defeat at the 2014 World Cup final in Brazil.

This year’s tournament was supposed to be a year Lionel Messi and Co would try to make a name for themselves but as things turns out, they were still the losers as Brazil sweep away their opportunity and ends their hopes of winning the trophy they have been pursuing for a long time.

The win did not however looks solid in the eyes of their talisman Lionel Messi as the Five (5) times Ballon D’or winner blamed Match officials for their defeat in a post-match interview.

The Barcelona star stated “They were not better than us. They found the net early and the second goal came from a penalty [to Aguero] they didn’t award,” Messi told reporters.

“They [the officials] had booked a lot of bullsh*t, but they didn’t even check the VAR, that’s incredible.

“That happened all over the game. At the first glance of contact, they ruled in their [Brazil’s] favor and this kind of bullsh*t distracted us from the game.

“There is no excuses for us, but we need to review this, analyse it and let’s hope CONMEBOL does something about it.

“I think we played a great game. We made a great effort and they were not superior to us.”

And prior to Lionel Messi’s Comment, the albiceleste had fired more shots at Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson than their opponents managed in attack (14-4) and struck the woodwork twice as they came agonisingly close to getting back into the contest.

Sergio Aguero was left fuming as his fine header which already beat the Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson ended up at the crossbar and the Argentine’s was punished immediately after the incident by Gabriel Jesus, Lionel Messi himself came close to score but his shot slammed at the post and ends the Albiceleste hopes of coming back.
