Chelsea have announced the signing of Bayern Leverkusen’s midfielder Kai Havertz’, on a 5 year contract deal.

Havertz who scored a total of 36 goals and made 25 assists in 115 Bundesliga appearances, was sold to Chelsea for a club record fee of £75.8m.
The 21 year old becomes Frank Lampard’s seventh signing this summer as he joins Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva, Malang Sarr and Xavier Mbuyamba in Chelsea’s camp.
In an interview, Havertz said “I am very happy and proud to be here, For me it is a dream come true to play in a big club like Chelsea and I can’t wait to meet all the players and the trainers. Yeah, I am very happy to be here”.
According to reports, the midfielder completed his medicals with Chelsea on Sunday, before leaving London to joinup with Germany for their Nations League fixtures.
